Mancat Monday
OK mom, really, you need me to get off because you NEED a recipe for chicken soup??? Really??? Throw the bird in the crockpot, add stuff, add water... It's not a gourmet kinda thing...
Oh yeah, and don't forget to put some of that meat from the bones directly into my dish... no broth necessary!
That crock pot looks like it will make LOTS of chicken soup so we're sure you will get a goodly portion.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are cooking up a yummy good time!
ReplyDeleteYUMMY! We think you're going to have a super duper portion very soon!
ReplyDeleteSounds Yummy. Now I feel like chicken tonight. Have a marvelous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Dear Harry, it's great news that your Momma is feeling well enough to make chicken soup and I am sure she will show how much she has appreciated your wonderful nursing by giving you a large portion (and, perhaps, some treats as well?) ...
ReplyDeleteMy special purrs ... Rainbow
We have worked so hard nursing her back to health... but it is all worth it, treats or no.
DeleteTake care my sweet Rainbow...
We're sure you've earned a big dish of chicken soup for posing so nicely.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
define "stuff" ;)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't quite read the recipe in the book, so I told her to wing it!
DeleteCrock pot chicken! Oooo, sounds totally heavenly, and just right for kitties!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...what time's dinner?? ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, your recipe sounds just about right to us! And you definitely deserve a reward for helping your mom like that. :)
ReplyDeletenoe wunder yur momz been sick, her iz eatin
ReplyDeleteBURD!!!!!!!
Our mom is on her way over!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to us.
ReplyDeleteYou've got that right! Reminds me of the time my husband got out a cookbook to tell him how to boil an egg.
ReplyDeleteOh well, once she boils the meat off that chicken, it will be very tasty indeed. Just make sure she doesn't put most of it back in the soup!
As long as there's chicken, the meal is complete - no recipe needed!
ReplyDeleteMowzers, what a coinky-dink! Mommy made chicken soup today too! Although with the kitchen all torn up it was kinda "throw noodles into water, add chicken powder, and a can of chicken" so not REAL from scratch stuff. Still. Chicken. NOM!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds pretty tasty to us... though the chicken straight in our bowl would be good, too. And would save a lot of work, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou are such a gourmand!!
ReplyDeleteMum has a simple recipe. Purchased chickhen broth, lots of pepper, carrots, celery and some chick-hen off a roasted chick-hen. Boil this for a few mintues, add noodles, cook until noodles cooked. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteShe made some today, we got a bit of the chick-hen.
That's the idea, just make it and don't overthink it. Chicken soup for the humans and plenty of cooked chicken for the cats.
ReplyDeleteCan I have the broth? Love it!
ReplyDeleteHope you had lots of chicken!
Purrs
Mmmm....chicken.... we hope your mom gave you some!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan to me! He must have read "Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul" MOL!
ReplyDeleteWow, how did you know that was mommy's method for making chicken soup? Whatever's in the fridge, just throw it in the pot along with the chicken, turn up the heat and go! And definitely give the kitties some when it's done, that's part of the recipe, isn't it? Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs.
