Our Angel Squillions

Hi all!

Today is Squillion Day and we'd like to introduce our first two angel Squillions to everyone.

First is Angel Yuri.  Yuri was mom's boy, he was a big chunky barn cat with lots of love to give.  When mom would hold him, he would snuggle up, make biscuits on her sholder (ouch) and purr and DROOL! Yep, whenever he was happy with mom, he would drool on her... and she never minded.

Yuri had a bad heart murmur and mom knew from the begining that he might not be with us long.  He was pretty much  an outside kitty, but one winter, he started to want to come in the house at night.  Over time, he stayed in more and more, and eventually was inside mostly.  Mom says one day in the spring, she went to let him outside, and she just knew it was the last time she would see him.  And sadly, she was right.  We think that he knew it was his time, so he went off, like they say the Native Americans used to do and died in peace.

Second, we have Angel Sophie.  Sophie was dad's kitty.  He found her one February, when the temperature was 10 degrees BELOW zero.  He was out feeding our sheep and she came out of the barn.
He got our mom and little Sophie just went "belly up" for loves, and they brought her to the house and there she stayed.  She was a feral kitten and the      v-e-t lady said that she could tell her mom didn't have good food when she was pregnant and Sophie wasn't quite ok. Her head was small and her front legs were kind of short , but she got along really well for a time, and she was especially close to Harry.  She went to the bridge one day, curled up like she was sleeping peacefully.  Dad misses her very much.

We encourage everyone to visit the Squillion Shelter at:
http://virtualsquillionshelter.blogspot.com/   and see all the work that has been done to find these wonderful Squillions furever homes.  Thanks to all the shelter keepers, we are happy to have our angels with us.

OMC, We've been LOL'ed!!!

Sorry we've been away all, but some dead mouse was clogging up are intertubes!!!  No, it wasn't a catnip mouse, well it wasn't a mouse really, but we thought it sounded better than the dumb main route-her was messed up down the road, so we blamed it on the mousie.

Anyway, we're all safe and sound, except in our absence, WE WERE LOL'ED.  That darn Wendy got us good.  Especially Tipp.  Apparently he has an "issue" and we think he might be somehow related to Mr. Pooty.. we mean Puddy!

Pop on over to Wend'ys LOL Spot and take a peek.  She does such a good job, maybe we should get her a job called "Crazy Cats of the Intertubes".  We think it would be great on Animal Planet!

Thanks Wendy!
Harry, Dexter and Tipp

No, as you can tell, this is not one of us, his name is Nei-Haow and he is one of the FeLV+ kitties that mom does Reiki with at the Sanctuary.  She just thought that this was a great picture of his handsome face.
( never mind the dangly things )

PEE ESS:   Since we were "offline" this weekend... we wanted to concatulate Maxwell, Faraday and Allie on being picked to win the bottle of "Grief and Loss" flower essences.  They so kindly asked us to pass it along to Petie's mom, so if they could get me in touch with her, I would be happy to get that right out.

Help during the especially sad times...

Since we joined the Blogosphere last summer, we have seen a sad number of deeply loved family members go to the Rainbow Bridge.  It is always a hard time for those left behind, and the compassion and support offered by our "community" is truly touching.

When we imagine the Rainbow Bridge, we think of the meadows  full of  flowers.  Imagine if your loved one could collect a boquet of  beautiful blooms and leave it at the foot of the bridge for you, a boquet that  would help you through the difficulties  of their passing.  Each flower, in it's essence,  touching  and healing a part of the grief and loss you are suffering,  and together, the carefully selected blossoms would help your heart and soul return to a place of love, balance and peace.  This is how we think about a special  blend of flower essences called "Grief and Loss".

Molly Sheehan, the "gardner" at Green Hope Farm began her love affair with flowers in childhood. Through the years she has cultivated that love and, along with some divine guidance, has captured  flower essences from the gardens she tends and the  fields and special places she visits.  The unique energetic vibration of each type of flower is caught within its essence and can interact with and seek to harmonize and balance our energies on the emotional, physical and spiritual level.

Many times, there are issues that are a more complicated, interwoven set of energy patterns and experiences.  While each individual may experience slightly different components of them, many aspects of the condition are common to us all, animal and  human alike.  Sometimes, a combination of essences can work together to restore balance in the condition in general.   "Grief and Loss" is one of those combinations.  A bouquet of flowers in a bottle to help you through the sad times.
So let's take a look at some of the flowers your loved one might put into that beautiful bouquet , plucked from the meadows at the Rainbow Bridge...

To my dear family,

Hyssop

The first bloom I put in your bouquet is Hyssop.  I want you to  release yourself from the quilt you feel.  Staying with this feeling is punishing yourself and keeping you from healing. Please know that I do not blame you for anything, I love you and always will. Put guilt aside and your healing journey can continue.   Hyssop is a simple, not showy flower, but it is important so that you can be free to use the flowers around it.

Even I know that roses are a token of love and I have put many beautiful roses in your bouquet. Love comes in many forms and each is there to offer it's support through this difficult time.  The Madame Hardy Rose is like a soft headbonk or a lick of the hand to help console you during this tough time.  A beautiful Coral Pink Rose offers calm support, making this all become a more gentle process, helping it be less overwhelming, while the Alex McKenzie gives you the courage to do the work of healing...

Thinking of me can be bittersweet after I am gone.  Another rose, the Camaieux Rose knows that while it is sometimes painful, memories of this experience are an essential part of the healing process and allows you to bring them in gently.  And beautiful, sweet Honeysuckle will help you to keep you from geting mired in the sadness of them, and return to the place where you can look upon them fondly and with pure love.

Another simple wild flower I found to put in the bunch is Joe Pye Weed.  I know sometimes you are feeling  burdened and alone.  Joe Pye Weed will remind you to "let go and let God".  You don't have to carry this burden alone, and you can ask for the help of the divine to help you through.

Star of Bethlehem
I know sometimes you will feel very  sad and sometimes you stay sad too long, so just in case I put in some bright, yellow Mustard flower in to help shake you free another yellow flower of the Cucumber to give you courage to go through it. Once you start moving away from it, use the support of  Star of Bethlehem  to keep moving forward and not get stuck again.

Witch Hazel

Borage
White Bleeding Heart
Last, I put in a few flowers that will help you look toward the future.  The crazy flowers of Witch Hazel will help you feel alive again, they are one of the first things that bloom in spring, and beautiful blue Borage blossoms can't help but bring happiness and joy to your life.  And in the mix is a special gift, the White Bleeding Heart which will help you let down the walls protecting your broken heart , and allow love in again.  Maybe, when the time is right, you will find someone else to give a forever home to, taking them in and loving them just like you did for me ~ To you with all my love...

Green Hope Farms "Grief and Loss"  is part of their Animal Wellness Collection.  Animals experience much the same emotions and conditions that people do, so flower essences can help them and their humans at the same time.  In fact, it is thought that any essence(s) given to an animal should be taken by their humans as well, as most conditions will reflect in each other.

Please remember that flower essences are not a "cure" for anything and should never be substituted for medical or veterinary care. However, flower essences will not interact with any medications or treatments, and make a wonderful "helper" in wellness.  We love using Green Hope Farms essences as they contain no alcohol as a preservative, and the combinations are well thought out and intuitively guided.

Molly has graciously given us a gift of a bottle of "Grief and Loss" which she would love to see go to one of our readers.   If you would like to be in our random drawing, please leave a comment below.  If for any reason you would like to be in the drawing, but don't feel that you would like to leave a public comment, please feel free to email us at cherrycitykitties AT yahoo DOT com.  We will pick a reader randomly on Saturday, February 23rd.

Disclaimer, while we did receive this generous gift, we were not paid by Green Hope Farms for this story, and the opinions in this post are our own
