RINMOTO!

Mom is still trying to "get her poop in a scoop" since her return from the conference.  She said everything went super good, but she hated having to sleep in such a big bed with no kitties to share it with (or the daddy I think she said).  Anyway, she saw this post this morning and thought she would share it with you all.

Catster:  Cat texting Abbreviations

We made up a couple of our own:

RINMOTO : Rolling in nip, meowing our tails off!

SOS :  Sleeping on sill  (where you'll often find me!)  - Willow

HDTMdB:  Hey dood, that's my da Bird!  -  Tipp

IWO/IWI :  I want out / I want in   - Harry

TMIBRB:  Tucking Mom in, be right back - Dexter ( I have to do this to her every night)

Anyway,  leave us a comment with one of your favorites,  we can't wait to read them!

Willow's Story... part 1

Hi everyone!  In case we haven't met yet, I'm Willow, the newest member of the family called the Cherry City Kitties.   To those I have met, you sure are a great bunch of kitties (and woofies), and Mom says I can help her on the computer some so that I can see your blogs and get to know all of you too (meowza, that's going to be a big job, I never knew there were so many kitties out there).

So some of you asked to know more about me too, so here's my little story.  I say little, because, the fact is, I don't really remember much of it.  You see I had to live outside on my own for a while.  I don't remember for sure, but I think there were some people in my life when I was younger, but then, there weren't and I was on my own.  Mom says maybe I don't remember is because being out there on your own is a really, really hard and sad thing and maybe the past is best left in the past.  Anyway, I do like people, so one day when this man in a uniform picked me and said he was going to take me to a place and try to find out if I had a family that was missing me, I let him.  He was really nice and tried hard, but no one came to find me, so he got in touch with a pawesome group called AC Paw and told them what a good kitty I was and could they maybe help me find a forever home.  And they said they would!!!!

I lived at a nice house for a little bit, while I went to the v-e-t and got some pokes (ouch!) and one time I went to sleep there and woke up with no fur on my belly and a bit of a scar, but don't worry, I feel great now.  When I was all healed up, they took me to this big giant place, some place where Smart Pets go to do something they call "adoption".  Lots of people came to say hi to me and for about 10 days I met lots of volunteers who came to take care of us and play with us and they told us not to worry that we would find our own family soon.  I sure hoped they were right.  This wasn't as nice as my recovery house was, but it was sure better than being on my own.

Then, late on a Sunday, this man and lady walked into our room.  She didn't see me at first cause I was in a bottom cage, but HE saw me right away.  He knelt down by me and started talking to me and scritched my chin, and I headbonked him back.  He had a friendly smile and kind eyes and I trusted him right away.  Then he told the lady to come see me.  WOW! She liked me too and she was just as nice as the man was.  They asked if they could have me come outside my cage and the three of us sat together and I purred my best purrs and they laughed and we played with my mousie a little and I sat on their laps.  Then it was time for them to go I guess so I went back in my cage.  I heard the man say "well, let's talk about this" on the way out the door, but since I didn't get to go with them, I was a little sad.

But the next day,  there they were again!  I was really happy to see them.  There was no one that could let me out when they came, but they sat with me and we had a great time.  The lady told me that she would be back again tomorrow to talk to the AC Paw people and would see me then.  That was good, cause I was really starting to like these people.

When she came back the next day, the volunteer ladies were making a big fuss and kept telling me I was going home.  But I didn't know where that was.  My home had been outside for a while and I didn't want to go back there, so I was a little nervous...

Wow, I have been talking a lot!  I better give you all a break. Mom is going away to talk at a conference until Monday, so I'll fill you in on the rest of the story then.  See you soon!

Purrs,
Willow

eh, hem...We have an announcement!

After much research, using our finely honed senses, we have solved the mystery of the closed laundry room door.

We saw the PTU come in to the laundry room and we thought "OH NO" one of us was taking the long ride (ok, it's short really) to the v-e-t, but it didn't come out.  Then Harry (remember Dad's nickname for him is "parts per billion" because of his sensitive nose) told us he smelled something...or someone behind the door.  Couple that with the odd litter and the fact that Mom and Dad went in and out of there and talked this weird cute talk to the laundry. And we even thought we heard the laundry talk back!

After several days, Dad came out carrying the cardboard and took it outside.  We ran to the door... we had to know!!!!

This is what we saw through the slats in the door when Dad finally took the cardboard away...

OMC!!!!  It's a kitty!!!!!

Ladycats and Mancats, without further a-doo, we'd like to introduce our new sister...

WILLOW!!!

With very minimal hisses, airplane ears and whappy paws,
we welcome Willow to the Cherry City Kitties family!

We'll let her tell you more about herself in her own post,
but for now, we just want to say we're happy to have her here.

Zipping off for the weekend

Mom and Dad are working the big UN-Cats garage sale this weekend, so we're off through the teleport tunnel to hang out with our honorary brofur Moosey!

Mom's not got a photoshoppy program, so you can't see us teleporting, but rest assured we're in for a weekend of fun, fun, fun.  Especially since we know that there's new nip toys on the horizon.  We're bringing leftovers from Harry's birthday and we'll have a bit of a mancat party of our own.  Heck, if Kevin and Tracey let us stay up, we'll catch the latest episode of  "My Cat from Hell".

Anyway, we'll see you all next week!
